Many exotic materials are used in the creation of the Crazy Mountain Xtreme snowmobile. They include: Aluminum, Carbon Fiber, Chrome Molly and Titanium. Attention to every detail is why the CMX is the lightest, best performing Mountain sled on the market. Proper balance combined with light-weight makes the CMX the funnest easiest sled you will ever ride.

This season will be more of the same here at Crazy Mountain Motorsports Inc. We will continue to push the performance envelope. CMX's will be built with the following power-plant. CMX Improved 800cc Polaris twin w/electronic reverse, Delta 3 Reeds and SLP race twin pipes and CMX Shot Gun Silencers.

All CMX's come standard with Wahl Bros. 10 tooth anti-ratchet drivers. They have proven to be a nice performance gain over standard drivers. Track lengths are a customer chosen option, but we prefer Camoplast 162" X 16” X 2 5/16" tracks. (All Tracks are Drilled By CMX to lighten and Improve Performance) And yes, you will have trouble keeping up with the CMX on the trail too (even that long). Don't even think about keeping up off the trail.

Standard features on Crazy Mountain Xtreme include: Carbon fiber trailing arms w/chrome molly head piece , chrome molly steering post, steering hoop, handle bars and torque arms on the rear suspension.

Bumps are soaked up by FOX FLOAT SHOX all around. We have found not only a weight reduction with the new shocks, but we were very surprised to see an improvement in suspension performance over the Titanium spring shocks that we have used up until this point.

Primary clutching is taken care of by the tried and true Polaris primary clutch, and the secondary duties are handled by the Team Performance clutch. (E-REV)

We could spend a lot of time talking about the ergonomics of the CMX, but we will just touch on a few of the important ones. CMX riders will enjoy the comfort of the new design FLAT TOP seat from Boss Seats, as well as the new, taller handlebars, with our new ride forward positioning. This makes for an easy transition from sitting to standing while carving and climbing in the steep and deep. All of the standard features that you have come to expect are still there, such as thumb and hand warmers. The CMX instrumentation is second to none. The Avenger III displays engine RPM, both exhaust temps (EGT'S), water temp, speedo, odo, and clutch ratio, which can be handy for tuning. The very best tuning feature of the CMX instrumentation is the recording feature. You can do a recording and watch all of your engine vitals and confirm maximum performance. This is like having a dyno on the mountain.

CMX R&D found more great performance gains with better control of cold air intake with our new Dual Air Intake (Ram Air and Cowl Induction) system that delivers outside air to our new Carbon Fiber Air Box,
The hood vents allow for the hot air from the pipes and clutches to be swept out the rear of the hood and console areas. This is very beneficial, because it keeps the hot (horse-power robbing) air away from the cold (power enhancing) air that feeds the engine.

Hood color is still a customer chosen option. We can do all of our standards, black, red, and silver metallic, as well as custom colors or custom paint themes upon request. The CMX LED tail/brake light made by Four Barr is very bright and very cool. Taillights on a CMX are very important, because once you leave the parking lot, that's all most people see all day.
