FALL 06
Although we test and tune all season long, spring is the time that we concentrate on the details. This spring we found a huge performance increase in our 800 Polaris powered CMX. I would like to tell you that it was a result of our huge knowledge base that we have developed over our years of experience, but to be honest with you it was kind of an accident that we happened on to what we did. Now, it’s kind of like the Bush’s Baked Bean recipe. We aren’t giving up the details, and we don’t even have a talking dog to worry about. The bottom line is this: It is a total combination of the proper air intake - CMX Dual Air Intake to our Carbon Fiber Air Box – proper carburetion – ignition timing - proper porting – SLP race twin pipes and our CMX Shot Gun Exhaust Silencer. This total system works together in harmony to produce an incredible amount of horse power. We thought we had optimized what the 800 had to offer before. We were wrong!
At first we could not believe what we were seeing. We thought it was a fluke or a one in a million, so we duplicated the same recipe in another new CMX and experienced the exact same results. We found ourselves giggling like little school girls when we ran our new package against the CMX’s with the “Big Engines”. Oh yeah it’s the real deal. We found it and it is standard in the new CMX’s for the upcoming (06-07) season.
